Selena: The Series made waves last year with the release of its first season. Whether you were wild about the story about the young Tejano singer portrayed by Christian Serratos or found its delivery less than satisfactory, many are curious for Season 2 of the show.

With an announcement from the show’s Latino creator Moisés Zamora, Selena: The Series, Part 2 is due to be released next month on May 4th. For fans of the show, the second part couldn’t come at a better time (or a more unexpected time given its December 2020 initial release). Check out the teaser trailer below, featuring Selena’s beloved hit Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.

Part 2 will be picking up right where Part 1 left off, with Selena beginning to see the fruits of her labor and success in music. While many were disappointed with the way the series kicked off, there seems to be some positivity with the released trailer for Part 2. See what some are saying about the show’s second season below:

Given Selena Quintanilla’s legacy and the way in which many fans see themselves in her, Part 1 of the series left much to be desired. While many are hopeful about what Part 2 will deliver, they can only hope that it does not disappoint – and that the actors have better wigs.
